Al-Falaah College honours young sporting stars

A proud pupil displays her accolades at the ceremony.

Al-Falaah College recently a glittering sports awards ceremony honouring pupils for their amazing sporting talents.

The sports day was an astounding success as parents, pupils and teachers made their way into the indoor astro-turf arena.

Pupils recognised with special awards included sports boy and sports girl of the year award in primary school, Yusra Mahomed and Akbar Ally.

The sports boy and sports girl of the year award in high school were Asma Mahomed and Azhar Ally.

Some of the other acknowledged awards included KZN colours in cricket, KZN colours in archery, KZN colours in swimming, KZN colours in squash and the Akhlaaq awards.

The school’s PR and marketing, Ummesaad Mahomed said, “It gives us great pleasure to state that not only is Al-Falaah College a school of academics but the holistic environment we provide for our pupils which includes sport and Islamic ethos give rise to outstanding performances.”
