Al-Falaah College recently inaugurated its outdoor cricket nets.

The excitement from the pupils was unimaginable as KZN Dolphins off-spinner, Prenelan Subrayen joined in the ceremony.

It was a fantastic experience as he signed autographs and addressed pupils with inspiring words.

According to the school’s PR and marketing officer, Ummesaad Mahomed, this project which has been a dream for many years finally became a reality.

Pupils put their new cricket nets through its paces as they challenged Mr Subrayen against his deadly off-spin.

“A few of our boys and girls also bowled a few balls at the Dolphin superstar. It was an intriguing to watch,” she said.

Pupil, Sarah Jeewa has her final round of cricket trials for the KZN under 13 team while Asma Mahomed represents the KZN women’s cricket team.

The cricket teams at Al-Falaah College will be appreciating the consistent bounce and even pace of their new training turf.
