The Durban Central Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit is working around the clock to locate a man, who they believe could be of assistance in a case of rape, that is currently under investigation.
In addition, they are also appealing to the public to assist them with any information in this regard.
Provincial police spokeswoman, Col Thembeka Mbhele said that on July 18, 2018, it is alleged that a 25-year-old woman was waiting for her sister in the Julius Nyerere area at about 7:30pm when she was approached by an unknown man, who offered to assist her in terms of going to the bus stop.
“On their way to the workshop, they ended up in an unknown storage, where the victim was raped,” she explained.

Police believe that the man in the published image can assist them in solving the case.
