Police officers from Durban Central were highly commended after they arrested a 20-year-old robbery suspect in the CBD, recently.
The crime occurred on July 7.
Lt Col Thulani Zwane, a provincial police spokesman, said that the suspect allegedly entered a business premises in the CBD where he pointed a firearm at an employee.
He stole an undisclosed amount of cash, which was on the counter, and fled the scene.

“Police immediately responded and gave chase. The suspect was soon arrested with a firearm in his possession,” explained Lt Col Zwane.
The arrested suspect appeared in court on charges of robbery and possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
