Pupils benefit from free life skills training

Dr Macken Mistry Primary School pupils were over the moon when they received free life skills training from former pupil, Portia Mcwane, recently.

Mcwane runs her own foundation that deals with acting, drama and life skills programmes. According to school principal, Pompey Sukool, Mcwane has devoted the past term in developing grade seven pupils in the life skills subject.

“Pupils were put through their paces in the field of dance, drama and poetry recital,” he said. “The show was of a very high standard and enjoyed by all present. We appreciate the fact that pupils had improved and developed in the fields of arts and drama,” added Sukool.
