NeDFest takes Diwali early to the indigent

Local non-profit organasation, NeDFest, took Diwali celebrations early to the residents of Emona in Tongaat, as part of their ‘Treat for the Indigent programme.’

The residents were treated to a sumptuous meal, given grocery hampers and items of clothing. They were also entertained by the Hillgrove Sungeeth.

The residents were ecstatic and extremely grateful for the early Diwali treat. NeDFest expressed their sincere gratitude to all patrons who made this venture possible.

The annual Newlands Diwali Festival will be held at the New West Secondary School Hall on October 7. A health camp will be on scene, starting at 2pm and thereafter entertainment, a sari queen contest and supper will be provided. Free entry for everyone.
