Thirty-seven-year-old Hassain Hasham Ally was diagnosed with Cerebellar Ataxia at the tender age of five. According to Ally, he needs about R22, 500 for treatment which includes fat harvest procedure to obtain the stem cells, administration of the obtained stem cells, culture expansion/growing of a portion of the obtained stem cells, isolation of the stem cells and processing of fat for the fat deprived cells.

He also needs an additional R10, 000 for each follow up treatment. Talking about his condition, Ally said, “It becomes extremely challenging for my parents and myself as they have to attend to me many times on a daily basis. I am appealing to residents to help me as I would like to be independent and be on my feet. I made an inquiry about stem cell therapy in a Stem Cell Institute in Parys within the Orange Free State and I was given the figures for treatment of my condition.”

“I would humbly appreciate any contribution towards the cost of my treatment and I hope along with contributions towards my treatment, this therapy will be a success on the road to my recovery,” he said. To make a contribution to assist Hassain Hasham Ally, contact him on 061-427-5114 or 031-208-4810.
