19 injured after taxi and truck collide in Durban CBD

The scene of the accident in the Durban CBD.

Nineteen people were injured after a taxi and truck collided on the corner of Commercial Road and Aliwal Street, earlier this morning.

Just after 6:30am, Rescue Care paramedics arrived at the scene and found the damaged vehicles. The injured people were stabilised at the scene and then transported to various hospitals for further medical care.

Multiple ambulances were used to transport the injured. Police were at the scene and will be investigating further.
