Scores injured in separate accidents on Nandi Drive

Multiple people have been injured after two separate accidents on the N2 by Nandi Drive, earlier this morning.

In the first collision, a taxi and a vehicle collided on the N2 South after Nandi just after 6am. Rescue Care paramedics arrived at the scene and found that a vehicle had rear ended a taxi on the busy highway.

Multiple patients were injured with injuries ranging from minor to moderate. More ambulances were called to assist with the number of patients. Once all of the injured had been stabilised at the scene, they were transported to various Durban hospitals for the further care that they required.

In the second collision, just after 7am, four vehicles collided into each other on the N2 North bound near Nandi. Rescue Care Paramedics arrived on scene to find multiple patients injured.

More resources were immediately dispatched. A total of 13 people had sustained various injuries at the scene. They were stabilised before being transported to various Durban hospitals for the further care that they required.
